Species

In 1861,Arthur Adamsdescribed the genusCecinaas amonotypic genuswithCecina manchuricaas the only species.[2][4] The current classification ofCecinafollows Davis (1979)[4]and other authors.[6]

In 1996,Larisa A. Prozorovareviewed the genus, described 6 new species ofCecinaand re-establishedCecina tataricaas a separate species.[3][7]
