Charlie Constable(born 18 May 1999) is a former professionalAustralian rules footballerwho played for theGold Coast SunsandGeelongin theAustralian Football League(AFL). He is currently playing in theWAFLwithPerth Demons.
Early life
[edit]Constable played junior football for East Sandringham andHaileybury,before he was selected to play for theSandringham Dragonsin theTAC Cup.He played for Vic Country in2017 AFL Under 18 Championshipswhere he achieved All-Australian honours.[1]Constable was drafted with pick 36 in the2017 AFL draftby theGeelong Football Club.
AFL career
[edit]After spending the 2018 season in theVFL,Constable made his debut in round 1 of the2019 AFL seasonagainstCollingwood,having 21 disposals and kicking a goal. For his round 2 performance againstMelbourne,where he has 31 disposals and a goal, Constable was nominated for the2019 AFL Rising Staraward.
Following the2021 AFL season,Constable was delisted by Geelong, but subsequently picked up byGold Coastin the2021 AFL draft.
Constable announced his retirement from theAFLin October 2023,[2]before joiningWAFLclub thePerth Demons.[3]
