Charlie Krank was born in 1957 inSan Francisco.[1]

Career

Charlie Krank was working as an employee at the San Francisco game store Gambit, when he began to volunteer to playtest forChaosiumin 1978 and two years later he was hired as a paid employee.[2]: 83 Krank designed thecollectible card gameMythos,which won the 1996Best Card Gameaward atOrigins.[3]Krank was a long-time employee and part owner of Chaosium whenGreg StaffordfoundedIssaries, Inc.and left the company after 25 years, so Krank became the new president of Chaosium.[2]: 94 Chaosium nearly shut down in 2003, but Krank ran the company out of his house for a time without any paid staff.[2]: 94 

On September 11, 2008, Krank informed the public that his friend and fellow long-time Chaosium employeeLynn Willishad been diagnosed withParkinson's disease.[4]Krank later reported that Willis died on January 18, 2013.[5]

In a forum posting of 3 June 2015,Sandy Petersenannounced that Krank was no longer President of Chaosium.[6]
