Christopher Layne

Christopher Layne(born November 2, 1949) is an American academic specialising in foreign policy. He is currently Robert M. Gates Chair in Intelligence and National Security at theGeorge Bush School of Government and Public ServiceatTexas A&M University.He was previously a professor at theUniversity of Miami.[1][2]Hisneorealistposition in contemporary global politics is discussed in his 2006 bookThe Peace of Illusions.[3][4]

Layne has also written for thelibertarianCato Institute,[5]theRAND Corporation,[6]The American Conservativemagazine,[7]andThe National Interestmagazine.[8]
