TheChurch of the Brethren in Nigeria(Hausa:Ekklesiyar Yan'uwa a Nigeria(EYN), literally "Church of Children of the Same Mother of Nigeria" ) is anAnabaptistChristian denominationfromNigeriawith close to 1,000,000 members.[1]It has hundreds of pastors and hundreds of parishes.[1]It has been established in the 20th century.[1]The Church of the Brethren in Nigeria hasbible collegesand schools.[1]It joined theWorld Council of Churchesin 1985.[1]Furthermore, it is a member of the Christian Council of Nigeria and theChristian Association of Nigeria.[1]The Church of the Brethren in Nigeria is the largest national body ofChurch of the Brethrenin the world.[2]

EYN buildings inMaiduguriwere destroyed byBoko Haram[3]as a part of2009 Nigerian sectarian violence.
