City Square Mall(Chinese:Thành thị quảng trường;pinyin:Chéng Shì Guǎng Chǎng) is Singapore's first eco-mall to be integrated with a 49,000 sq ft (4,600 m2) urban park namedCity Green,[2]located within theplanning areaofKallang.The mall sits on the site of Singapore's historicNew World Amusement Park[3]and is directly connected toFarrer Park MRT station.City Green is designed to provide a learning experience about ecology and the natural environment.[2]
City Square Mall is the first mall in Singapore awarded the Green Mark Platinum Award by theBuilding and Construction Authority(BCA).[4]
