Collinis one of theten district electoral areas(DEA) inBelfast,Northern Ireland.[1]The district elects six members toBelfast City Counciland contains the wards ofDunmurry;Ladybrook;Lagmore;Poleglass;TwinbrookandStewartstown.[2]Collin, along with neighbouringBlack Mountainand most of theCourt District Electoral Area,forms the greater part of the Belfast West constituencies for theNorthern Ireland AssemblyandUK Parliament.
The DEA was created for the2014 local elections,combining parts of theUpper Falls DEA,which had existed since 1985, with parts of the abolishedDunmurry Cross DEAfromLisburn City Council.
