Biography[edit]

Zisk grew up in Dallas, where he graduated from theSt. Mark's School of Texas.His family wasJewish.[2]

After graduating from theUniversity of Southern California,Zisk directed his first television series,Brooklyn Bridge,at the age of 26. His first feature film wasThe English Teacher,starringJulianne Moore,Greg Kinnear,Nathan Lane,Michael AngaranoandLily Collins.[3]

Zisk has executive-produced several series includingWeeds,United States of TaraandThe Larry Sanders Show.He has also directed over 50 series, includingThe Big C,Nurse Jackie,Entourage,The Office,Alias,Smash,Parks and Recreation,Shameless,Nip/Tuck,The Exorcist,New Amsterdam,Brave New World,andHalo.

Zisk has been nominated for severalGolden Globe AwardsforWeeds.He has also earned multipleEmmynominations forThe Larry Sanders ShowandWeeds,including a nomination forBest Director for a Comedy.

His brotherRandy Ziskis also a television director.
