Cum sole

Cum soleis a Latin phrase meaningwith the sun.The term is sometimes used inmeteorologyandphysical oceanographyto refer toanticyclonicmotion, which isclockwisein theNorthern Hemisphereandcounterclockwisein theSouthern Hemisphere(butwiththe sun's apparent motion when facingEquatorin bothhemispheres) (Pond and Pickard, 1983).[1]

The opposite ofCum soleisContra solem(cyclonicmotion). Both terms are infrequently used.
