Cyril Donnellan(born 29 October 1985) is anIrishhurlerand teacher. Hisleagueandchampionshipcareer at senior level with theGalway county teamlasted ten seasons from 2008 until 2017.
Donnellan made his first appearance for the team during the2008 championshipand immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen. Since then he has won oneLeinstermedal and oneNational Hurling Leaguemedal.[1]
On 3 September 2017, Donnellan was a substitute for Galway as they won their firstAll-Ireland Senior Hurling Championshipin 29 years againstWaterford.[2][3][4]
In November 2017, Donnellan announced his retirement from inter-county hurling.[5]
Donnellan was appointed deputy principal ofColáiste Bhaile Chláirin January 2022.[6]
