DXRL(101.5FM) is aradio stationowned and operated byNation Broadcasting Corporation,a sister company ofTV5 Network Inc.It currently serves as a relay station ofTrue FM(formerly Radyo5) in Manila. The station's transmitter is located along Ramon Chavez St.,Cagayan de Oro.[1]

History

The station began operations in 1976 asMRS 101.5,airing anadult contemporaryformat. In 1998, after NBC was acquired by PLDT subsidiaryMediaQuest Holdings,the station rebranded asSandy @ Rhythms 101.5(later on shortened to Sandy 101.5) and switched to aTop 40format.[2][3]

In 2011, months afterTV5took over operations of the stations, it became a relay station ofDWFM 92.3 Manila,which was branded asRadyo5and specifically theNews FMsub-brand, later transitioning toTrue FMin 2023. On November 4, 2024, it transitioned to become a relay station ofDWLA 105.9 Manila,where the flagship True FM programming transferred, as part of the rebranded True Network. It is one of the two radio stations to be retained by Nation Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) despite its lease-to-own agreement withPhilippine Collective Media Corporation(PCMC) regarding most NBC-owned radio stations, with the other being based inCebu.[4][5][6]
