Daniel Immerwahr(born May 21, 1980) is an American historian, professor, and associate department chair of history atNorthwestern University.

Early life and education

Immerwahr grew up in Philadelphia. He originates from a Jewish family and is the great-grandson of a cousin ofClara Immerwahr,pioneering chemist and first wife ofFritz Haber.[1]He completed an undergraduate degree atColumbia University,and a second undergraduate degree atKing's College, Cambridge,where he was aMarshall Scholar,[2]and a doctorate at theUniversity of California, Berkeley.
