De Imperatoribus Romanis(DIR) is an onlinepeer-reviewedencyclopedia about the emperors of theRoman Empire,including theByzantine Empire.It was established in 1996 byMichael DiMaio,and hosted atSalve Regina University.[1]The site has been defunct since June 2023,[2]but it is still available in theInternet Archive.

TheCambridge Companion to the Age of Constantinesays that its articles "offer sound overviews and a regularly updated bibliography".[3]
