Dehwar

TheDehwarare an ethnic group of theBalochistanregion of Pakistan and Iran. They have traditionally been settled agriculturalists (in contrast to the nomadicBaloch). They speakDehwari,a variety ofPersianclose toDariandTajik.They may be descendants of settled local populations predating the Baloch migration. In theKhanate of Kalatfrom the 17th century and later, the community was the source of recruits for the state's bureaucracy.[citation needed]

The Dehwar's are usually found in Quetta City, Balochistan- The most populated city in Balochistan. They are Iranian-Baloch settlers who travelled from the touching border of Iran and Balochistan.

The Dehwar's are also located in vast majority in Mastung - Balochistan.
