Discrete modellingis thediscreteanalogue ofcontinuous modelling.In discrete modelling, formulae are fit todiscretedata—data that could potentially take on only acountableset of values, such as theintegers,and which are not infinitely divisible. A common method in this form of modelling is to userecurrence relations.
