Dorrit Willumsen(born 31 August 1940 inNørrebro,Copenhagen) is aDanishwriter. She made her literary debut in 1965 with the short story collectionKnagen.

She was awarded theDanish Critics Prize for Literaturein 1983.[1]In 1995 she was awarded theSøren Gyldendal Prize.In 1997 she was awarded theNordic Council's Literature Prizefor the novelBang. En roman om Herman Bang.[2]She married the playwrightJess Ørnsboin 1963, and their sonTore Ørnsbo(1970-) is also a writer.
