Dorrit Willumsen

Dorrit Willumsen(born 31 August 1940 inNørrebro,Copenhagen) is aDanishwriter. She made her literary debut in 1965 with the short story collectionKnagen.

She was awarded theDanish Critics Prize for Literaturein 1983.^[1]In 1995 she was awarded theSøren Gyldendal Prize.In 1997 she was awarded theNordic Council's Literature Prizefor the novelBang. En roman om Herman Bang.^[2]She married the playwrightJess Ørnsboin 1963, and their sonTore Ørnsbo(1970-) is also a writer.
