Dov Yaffe(Hebrew:דב יפה;1928–2017) was aPolish-bornIsraelirabbi,mashgiach,and leader of theMusar movement.
Youth
[edit]He was born atVilnain June 1928. In 1935, at age 7, he moved with his parents to theLand of Israeland settled inTel Avivwhere he studied atYeshivas Hayishuv Hachadashand afterward at theHebron,Ponevezh,andSlabodkayeshivos.[1][2]
Career
[edit]He became the assistant to RabbiElyah Lopianat theKnesses Chizkiyahuyeshiva which relocated toRekhasimin Northern Israel in 1955. While based in Rekhasim, he taughtMusarto thousands of students in Knesses Chizkiyahu, inKarmiel,and inKol YaakovinJerusalem[1][2]
Family

Final illness and death
[edit]Prior to his death, he was hospitalized atLaniado HospitalinKiryat Sanz, Netanya.He died on November 8, 2017, at age 89.[1][2]
