Nitol Payeis a 2006Bengali-languagepopular remixed pop single. The song features vocals byFuad al Muqtadirand Rajib Rahman, with music arranged by Fuad al Muqtadir himself, which was recorded for Muqtadir's electronic remix pop albumVariation No. 25.[1]The title of the song is taken from "Nitol Paye Rinik Jhinik Payelkhani Bajhe", a song penned byMeera Dev Burmanand sung by the legendary musicianSachin Dev Burman.[2][3]The first four lines of Meera Dev Burman's original lyrics were used in this song.[1]Additionally, a line from Sachin Dev Burman's song "Tumi Eshe Chile Porshu, Kal Keno Ashoni" was also incorporated into this song.
Background[edit]
While Muqtadir in theUnited States,he produced the music for the albumVariation No. 25.Initially, several instrumental arrangements were created. He would listen to these instrumental tunes while traveling, intending to write new lyrics for them. Once, on his way fromNew JerseytoNew York,he began experimenting with Sachin Dev Burman's songNitol Payeby singing its lyrics to one of these tunes, which gave him the idea to remixed the song. He planned to rewrite all the verses except the original four lines of the song. As per his intention, Rajib Rahman wrote the new lyrics. The song was recorded at Muqtadir's personal studio in New York. Primarily, the plan was to record the entire song with Muqtadir's solo voice, although later, the first four lines were recorded with it's lyricist Rajib Rahman's voice, and the remaining part was recorded by Muqtadir's own voice.[1]
