East Riding County Council(ERCC) was thecounty councilof theEast Riding of Yorkshire(excluding thecounty boroughofKingston upon Hull) from 1 April 1889 to 31 March 1974.[1]
In 1974, under theLocal Government Act 1972,the historic established lieutenancy and administrative county were disbanded, being replaced by the newly createdHumberside County Councilwhich included most of the East Riding and additional parts of the West Riding and parts of Lincolnshire.
