Elliot G. Jaspin(born May 27, 1946) is aPulitzer Prize-winning Americanjournalist.

Jaspin graduated fromBaldwin Senior High Schoolin 1964 andColby Collegein 1969.

While writing for thePottsville, PennsylvaniaRepublican & Herald,he won the1979Pulitzer Prize for Investigative ReportingwithGilbert M. Gaulfor stories on the destruction of the Blue Coal Company by men with ties to organized crime.

In the same year, Jaspin won aScripps Howard FoundationEdward J. MeemanAward and anAmerican Bar AssociationSilver Gavel Award.[1][2]
