Epizelus(Greek:Ἐπίζηλος), the son of Cuphagoras (Greek:Κουφάγoρας) was anAtheniansoldierwho fought at theBattle of Marathonin 490 BCE.
The only author to mention this individual isHerodotusin hisHistories:[1]

The description suggests that Epizelus suffered fromhysterical blindness(referred to as aconversion disorder).[2]
