Eustace of Fauconbergwas a medieval EnglishBishop of Londonfrom 1221 to 1228 and was alsoLord High Treasurer.

Biography[edit]

Eustace was the son of Walter de Fauconberg ofRise-in-Holdernessin theEast Ridingof the English county ofYorkshire.

Eustace was selected as treasurer in 1217, probably on 4 November, and held the office until his death.[1]He held theprebendofHolbournin thediocese of London[2]before being elected to the see of London on 26 February 1221 and consecrated on 25 April 1221.[3]

Eustace died between 24 and 31 October 1228.[3]There was a tomb memorial to him in thequireatOld St Paul's Cathedral.[4]
