Eva Ottawais anAtikamekwpolitical figure. She was the first women to be elected Grand Chief of theConseil de la Nation Atikamekwand the first Indigenous woman to lead theConseil du statut de la femme du Québec.[1][2][3][4]She received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 and the Médaille Premiers Peuples in 2019.[5][6][7]She is currently a law professor at theUniversity of Ottawa.[8]
