Afanlightis a form oflunettewindow, often semicircular or semi-elliptical in shape, withglazingbars ortracerysets radiating out like an openfan.[1]It is placed over another window or a doorway,[2][3]and is sometimes hinged to atransom.The bars in the fixed glazed window spread out in the manner of asunburst.It is also called asunburst light.[4]
