Fasiplon(RU 33203) is anonbenzodiazepineanxiolyticdrug from theimidazopyrimidinefamily of drugs.

Fasiplon binds strongly to benzodiazepine sites on theGABAAreceptorand has similaranxiolyticeffects in animals, but with lesssedativeormuscle relaxantaction.[1]It was developed by a team atRoussel Uclafin the 1990s[2]
