Fay Peck(1931 – 2016)[1]was an AmericanExpressionistartist, known for heroil paintingandprintmaking.[2][3][4]

Biography

Fay Gunderson was born inChicago,Illinoison August 7, 1931, to parents Alice Gunderson and Gunnar E. Gunderson.[1][5]She was ofNorwegiandescent.[1]She grew up in ruralRiver Forest,Illinois.[6]In 1954, she married David Bell Peck III on her family farm inLemont.[5]

She attendedUniversity of Miami,and studied in the summers atUniversity of Wisconsinand theUniversity of Oslo.[6]She participated in art workshops and studied atAnderson Ranch Arts CenterandEvanston Art Center,where she studied with artistPaul Wieghardt.[6]

Her work is in many collections includingRice University;[7]First National Bank of Chicago;theNew York Stock Exchange;Goldman Sachs;and variousUnited States embassies.[6][8][9]
