Fergal Browne

Fergal Browne(born 11 September 1973) is an IrishFine Gaelpolitician fromCounty CarlowinIreland.He was as a member ofSeanad Éireann,elected by theLabour Panelfrom 2002 to 2007.[1]

A member ofCarlow Town Councilfrom the1999 local electionsuntil the abolition in 2003 of thedual mandate,Browne was elected as Mayor of Carlow town in July 2002. At the2007 general electionhe stood in theCarlow–Kilkennyconstituency, but did not win a seat. After his defeat, he stood for the23rd Seanadon theCultural and Educational Panel,but was unsuccessful.[2]He was elected toCarlow County Councilin 2009 for the Carlow Eastlocal electoral area.He was re-elected to Carlow County Council in May 2014 and was elected as chairman (Cathaoirleach) for 2014 to 2015.

His fatherJohn Brownewas a senator and a TD for Carlow–Kilkenny.[3]
