Foot per second squared
Appearance
Thefoot per second squared(pluralfeet per second squared) is aunitofacceleration.[1]It expresses change invelocityexpressed in units offeet per second(ft/s) divided bytimeinseconds(s) (or thedistanceinfeet(ft) traveled or displaced, divided by thetimeinseconds(s) squared). The corresponding unit in theInternational System of Units(SI) is themetre per second squared.[2]
Abbreviations include ft/s2,ft/sec2,ft/s/s, ft/sec/sec, and ft s−2.
