Afreeze warningis a warning issued by theNational Weather Servicewhen sub-freezing temperatures are expected in the next 36 hours. This can occur with or withoutfrost.[1]When a freeze warning is issued in thefall,that will usually signify the end of thegrowing season,as sub-freezing temperatures will usually kill all remaining crops. Farmers and gardeners should take action to protect or harvest theirherbaceous plantsif a freeze warning is issued. A freeze warning is issued several hours after afreeze watchif a freeze continues to be expected.
