TheGreat Manmade River Stadium(GMRorGMMRstadium) is afootball stadiumsituated just a few metres away from the11 June Stadiumin the heart ofTripoli's sporting city. The stadium is named after theGreat Manmade River.The stadium has a capacity of around 20,000 and is currently the home ofLibyan Premier LeagueclubsAl Wahda,Al TersanaandAlamn Alaam.

The stadium was opened on 17 May 2000, and was celebrated with afriendly matchbetweenMiddlesbrough F.C.andA.S. Bari. This ground has hosted matches at international level, and the most celebrated results on this ground were won by the likes ofAl Madina,who defeatedES Tunis2–1, and on 19 September 2006,Al IttihaddefeatedAl NahdhaofOmanin the 2006-07Arab Champions League.Libyan football clubAl Ittihad Gheryanplays its home games at the GMR Stadium.
