Gatab(Persian:گتاب)[a]is a city in, and the capital of,Gatab DistrictofBabol County,Mazandaranprovince,Iran.[4]It also serves as the administrative center forGatab-e Shomali Rural District.[5]

Demographics[edit]

Population[edit]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 6,956 in 1,744 households.[6]The following census in 2011 counted 7,242 people in 2,084 households.[7]The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 7,374 people in 2,340 households.[2]
