Gmina Hajnówka(Belarusian:Гміна Гайнаўка) is a ruralgmina(administrative district) inHajnówka County,Podlaskie Voivodeship,in north-easternPoland,on the border withBelarus.Its seat is the town ofHajnówka,although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina.

The gmina covers an area of 293.15 square kilometres (113.2 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 4,273.

It is one of five Polish/Belarusianbilingual Gmina in Podlaskie Voivodeshipregulated by theAct of 6 January 2005 on National and Ethnic Minorities and on the Regional Languages,which permits certain gminas with significant linguistic minorities to introduce a second, auxiliary language to be used in official contexts alongsidePolish.[1]
