Golden Dawn(Greek:Chrysi Avgi) was aneo-fascistmagazine published between 1980 and 1984 in Greece. The magazine was media outlet of thepolitical groupwith the same name.

History and profile

Golden Dawnwas launched by an extremist group led byNikolaos Michaloliakoswho also edited it.[1][2]Then, they started a political group with the same name of which the goal was to disseminate their views through the magazine.[3][4]The group adhered to thesocial nationalismandfascism,[4]and the magazine described itself as a platform of social nationalism.[2]It frequently published articles aboutAdolf Hitlerpraising Nazism.[2]Its cover featured theswastikaas its symbol.[2]

The magazine was temporarily closed down by theGreek governmentin 1983.[3]Golden Dawnresumed publication in 1984, but it was banned and permanently folded the same year.[3]
