Gonzalo Suárez Morilla(Oviedo,Spain, 30 July 1934) is a Spanish writer, screenwriter and film director.
Career
[edit]In 1963 he published his first novelDe cuerpo presente.His 1975 filmThe Regent's Wifewas entered into the9th Moscow International Film Festival.[1]His 1991 filmDon Juan in Hellwas entered into the17th Moscow International Film Festival.[2]
In 1984 he acted as the married writer inPedro Almodóvar's¿Qué he hecho yo para merecer esto?(What Have I Done to Deserve This?).
In 1985 he directedLos pazos de UlloaforTelevisión Española.
AtGijón International Film Festivalin 2003, he received theNacho Martinez Award.[3]
Personal life
[edit]He has a younger brother cinematographerCarlos Suárez,two daughters and son,Gonzalo Suárez Girard,who is a video game director, most well known for his work onCommandos.
