HMSParagonwas anAcasta-classdestroyerthat served in theRoyal Navyduring theFirst World War.She was launched in 1913, and joined the4th Destroyer Flotillaupon completion. Serving with theGrand Fleetin August 1914,Paragonmoved to theHumberin the summer of 1916, then toPortsmouth,then toDevonportby 1917.[1]On 17 March 1917, fighting alongsideHMSLlewellynin anaction in the Dover Straitwith eight Germantorpedo boats,Paragonwas sunk by torpedo.[2]
