Hamad Mohsen Al-Montashari(also spelledAl-Montazeri;Arabic:حمد المُنتشري,Hamad al-Muntasharī;born 22 June 1982) is a Saudi Arabian formerfootballerwho spent his entire career forAl-Ittihad.Acentral defender,Al-Montashari became the 2005 Asian Football Player of the Year, finishing ahead of UzbekistaniMaksim Shatskikhin the polls.[2]He represented Saudi Arabia at the2006 FIFA World Cupand twoAFC Asian Cups.
