Hammar Lacusis one of a number ofhydrocarbon seas and lakesfound on Saturn's largest moon,Titan.[1]

The lake is located atlatitude48.6°Nandlongitude308.29°WonTitan's globe,[2]and is composed of liquidmethaneandethane,[3]At 200 km indiameterit is the third largest lake onTitanand is named afterHammar Lakein southernIraq,its name being adopted by theIAUon Dec 3, 2013.[2]Its area is given as 18600 km2.[4]
