Hans Basbøll

Hans Basbøll(Danish:[ˈhænˀsˈpæsˌpølˀ];born 12 July 1943) is a Danishlinguistand professor ofNordic languagesat theUniversity of Southern Denmarksince 1975, member ofDet Kongelige Danske Videnskabernes Selskabsince 1991 and member ofDansk Sprognævn,the official regulatory body ofDanish,in 1991–97.[1]Basbøll has written much on various aspects of Danish, which includesThe Phonology of Danish(2005), one of the most complete and authoritative sources on modernDanish phonology,[2][3][4]and is currently working at the Center for Child Language (Center for Børnesprog) at theUniversity of Southern DenmarkinOdense.AFestschrifthonouring Basbøll was published in 2003.[5]
