Harry Harveyis aDemocratic Unionist Party(DUP) politician, serving as aMember of the Northern Ireland Assembly(MLA) forStrangfordsince 2019. He is the DUP Spokesperson for Cultural Development andLoyal Ordersand Groups Engagement.[1] He was aNewry, Mourne and Down Councillorfor theRowallaneDEA from2014to 2019.

Background[edit]

Born inCrossgar,Harvey is the son of politicianCecil Harvey.He worked at Bells Crossgar Motors for twenty years.[2][3]

At the2014 Northern Ireland local elections,Harvey was elected to represent the Rowallane area onNewry and Mourne District Council,and was later re-elected in2019.In September 2019, he was co-opted to represent theStrangfordconstituency in theNorthern Ireland Assembly,replacingSimon Hamilton. [2][3]
