Hasan Mahmud(Bengali:হাসান মাহমুদ;born 12 October 1999) is a Bangladeshicricketer.He plays as a right arm fast pace bowler. He made his international debut for theBangladesh cricket teamin March 2020.[1]

Domestic career

He made hisfirst-classdebut forChittagong Divisionin the2017–18 National Cricket Leagueon 13 October 2017.[2]He made hisList Adebut forKhelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samityin the2017–18 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket Leagueon 5 February 2018.[3]

In November 2019, he was selected to play for theDhaka Platoonin the2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League.[4]He made hisTwenty20debut for Dhaka Platoon in the 2019–20 Bengal Premier League on 12 December 2019.[5]

International career

In December 2017, he was named in Bangladesh's squad for the2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[6]

In November 2019, he was named in Bangladesh's squad for the2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cupin Bangladesh.[7]Later the same month he was named in Bangladesh's squad for themen's cricket tournamentat the2019 South Asian Games.[8]The Bangladesh team won the gold medal, after they beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the final.[9]

In January 2020, he was named in Bangladesh'sTwenty20 International(T20I) squad for their seriesagainst Pakistan.[10]The following month, he was named in Bangladesh'sTestsquad for their one-off matchagainst Zimbabwe.[11][12]In March 2020, he was named in Bangladesh's T20I squad for their seriesagainst Zimbabwe.[13]He made his T20I debut for Bangladesh, againstZimbabwe,on 11 March 2020.[14]

In January 2021, he was named in Bangladesh'sOne Day International(ODI) squad for their seriesagainst the West Indies.[15]He made his ODI debut for Bangladesh, againstthe West Indies,on 20 January 2021.[16]Later the same month, he was named in Bangladesh's Test squad, also for their series against the West Indies.[17]

In March 2023, he was named in Bangladesh's ODI squad for their home seriesagainst Ireland.[18]During the third ODI, on 23 March 2023, he took his maiden five-wicket haul in international cricket.[19]

In March 2024, he was named in Bangladesh's Test squad for their seriesagainst Sri Lanka.[20]He made his Test debut for Bangladesh on 30 March 2024, against Sri Lanka.[21]In May 2024, he was named as areserve playerin Bangladesh's squad for the2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cuptournament.[22]In August 2024, he was named in Bangladesh's squad for the test series against Pakistan.[23]
