TheHills Valley Weekly(formerly theHills & Valley Messenger) is a weekly suburbannewspaperinAdelaide,part of theMessenger Newspapersgroup. TheHills & Valley'sarea is bounded by theBelair National Parkin the north-east, and the suburbs ofDarlingtonto the west andHappy Valleyto the south. Its western border roughly divides the foothills from the Adelaide plains.[1]

The newspaper generally reports on events of interest in its distribution area, including the suburbs ofBelair,Blackwood,Flagstaff HillandAberfoyle Park.It also covers theCity of MitchamandCity of Onkaparingacouncils.

It has a circulation of 19,253 and a readership of 35,000.[2]

The office for theHills & Valley Messengerhas moved in recent times from theSouthern TimesOffice in Morphett Vale to theGuardianOffice in Morphettville.

History

TheHills Gazettewas established in 1973 and was renamed theHills Messengerin 1984. In 1990, the paper was merged with theBelair/Blackwood Messengerand renamedHills & Valley Messenger.[3]
