Hugh Garahan(died 7 June 1940) was an Irish politician. A farmer, he was an unsuccessful candidate at the1923 general election.He was first elected toDáil Éireannat theJune 1927 general electionas aFarmers' PartyTeachta Dála(TD) for theLongford–Westmeathconstituency.[1]He lost his seat at theSeptember 1927 general election.[2]

In 1931 he was elected to theFree State Seanadand was re-elected to the Seanad in 1934, where he was a member ofCumann na nGaedhealand laterFine Gael.[1]
