ISO 3166-2:BS
ISO 3166-2:BSis the entry forthe BahamasinISO 3166-2,part of theISO 3166standardpublished by theInternational Organization for Standardization(ISO), which definescodesfor the names of the principalsubdivisions(e.g.,provincesorstates) of allcountriescoded inISO 3166-1.
Currently for the Bahamas, ISO 3166-2 codes are defined for 1 island (New Providence) and31 districts.
Each code consists of two parts, separated by a hyphen. The first part isBS,theISO 3166-1 Alpha -2code of the Bahamas. The second part is two letters.
