ISO 3166-2:OM

ISO 3166-2:OMis the entry forOmaninISO 3166-2,part of theISO 3166standardpublished by theInternational Organization for Standardization(ISO), which definescodesfor the names of the principalsubdivisions(e.g.,provincesorstates) of allcountriescoded inISO 3166-1.

Currently for Oman, ISO 3166-2 codes are defined for11 governorates.In 2011, the following subdivision changes took place:

Each code consists of two parts, separated by a hyphen. The first part isOM,theISO 3166-1 Alpha -2code of Oman. The second part is two letters.
