Igor Drljaca(born 1983) is aBosnian Canadianfilm writer, producer and director.[1]A graduate ofYork University,[2]he cofounded the Canadian production company Timelapse Pictures withAlbert Shin.[3]

Career[edit]

As a writer and director, he has made the narrative feature filmsKrivina(2012),[2]The Waiting Room(2015)[1]andThe White Fortress(2021),[4]as well as the feature documentaryThe Stone Speakers(2018). His short films includeWoman in Purple(2009);On a Lonely Drive(2009);The Fuse: Or How I Burned Simon Bolivar(2011), which was aCanadian Screen Awardnominee forBest Short Documentaryat the1st Canadian Screen Awards;andThe Archivists(2020).

As a producer, he received a Canadian Screen Award nomination at the3rd Canadian Screen Awardsfor Shin'sBest Picture-nominated filmIn Her Place(2014),[5]and was a producer of Bojan Bodružić's 2018 documentary filmThe Museum of Forgotten Triumphs.

At the10th Canadian Screen Awardsin 2022, Drljaca received a nomination forBest Original ScreenplayforThe White Fortress.[6]

Teaching[edit]

Drljaca is an associate professor in film production at theUniversity of British Columbia's theatre and film department.[7]
