IndiePlex,stylized asindieplex since 2006, is an Americanpremium television networkwhich features independent motion pictures. It is a spinoff ofMoviePlexand is owned byStarz Inc.The headquarters of IndiePlex and its sister channels MoviePlex and RetroPlex are located on the Meridian International Business Center complex inMeridian, Colorado.[1]
On April 5, 2016,Starzwas rebranded and added all theEncorechannels to its moniker, therefore increasing the Starz channel lineup to 14 Starz movie channels. Its main channel was rebranded "Starz Encore" and carries reruns of Starz originals in addition to films.[2][3]
On June 30, 2016,Lionsgateagreed to acquireStarz Inc.for $4.4 billion in cash and stock.[4]

[edit]IndiePlex is available nationally onDish Network[5]and regionally on select cable systems such as TWC Channel 621 SD only.[specify]IndiePlex and RetroPlex are currently available onDish Network,Comcast,[6]Atlantic BroadbandandVerizon FiOS.Retroplex and Indieplex also launched simulcast in1080ihigh definitionon Dish Network on February 11, 2010.[7]
The channel competes directly withSundanceTVandIFC,both of which broadcast independently produced or filmed features.
