Ishan Ernesto Arturo Kort(born 1 June 2000) is a professionalfootballerwho plays as agoalkeeperfor LithuanianI LygaclubBe1 NFA.[1]Born in the Netherlands Antilles, he plays for theSuriname national team.
Club career
[edit]A former youth academy player ofZeeburgiaandTwente,Kort joinedAlmere Cityin September 2019.[2]He initially joined under-21 team of the club, which played inDerde Divisie,the fourth tier offootball in the Netherlands.He made his debut on 21 September 2019 in a 2–1 league defeat againstODIN '59.[3]
On 27 July 2023, Kort joined Lithuanian clubBe1 NFA.[4]
International career
[edit]Born in theNetherlands Antilles,Kort was given green light by FIFA to represent Suriname.[5]In March 2021, he received his first call-up to theSuriname national teamforWorld Cup qualifying matchesagainstCayman IslandsandAruba.[6]He made his international debut on 24 March 2021 in a 3–0 win against Cayman Islands.[7][8]
In June 2021, Kort was named in Suriname's squad for the2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup.[9]
