J-CODE,an acronym forJoint Criminal Opioid Darknet Enforcement,is anFBIoperation announced by U.S. Attorney GeneralJeff Sessionson January 29, 2018, inPittsburgh, Pennsylvaniawhich targets illegalopioiddistribution on theDarknet.[1][2][3]Given the integrity and robustness of thehidden servicesof theTor anonymity network,however,sting operations,the seizure of servers, the tracking of postal deliveries, and in general the exploitation of failures ofoperational securityare expected to bestandard operating procedure.[4]
