Jamie Mulgrew(born 5 June 1986) is a professional footballer from Northern Ireland who plays forLinfieldof theNIFL Premiershipand who has beencappedby theNorthern Ireland national team.

Club career

Mulgrew began his career withGlentoran,making two senior appearances during the 2004–05 season. In 2005, he moved to Glentoran's rivalsLinfieldand quickly became a fixture with the first team squad. He was named as Linfield's Player of the Season for 2010 and as of the end of the 2019–20 season had appeared 589 times for the club in all competitions, having scored 45 goals.[1]

It was reported by theBelfast Telegraphon 8 February 2011 thatScottish Premier LeagueclubsKilmarnockandHibernian,along withMajor League SoccerclubPortland Timbers,were interested in signing Mulgrew on aBosmanfree transfer when his contract expires in the summer.[2]

In 2011, Mulgrew had trials with Major League Soccer sidesColumbus CrewandPortland Timbers.[3]

He was namedUlster Footballer of the YearandNorthern Ireland Football Writers' Association Player of the Yearfor the 2016–17 season.[4][5]

International career

He has beencappedat theunder-21 levelfor his country, playing against Moldova in aUEFA Under-21 European Championshipqualifying match.[6]

He made his full debut forNorthern Irelandon 26 May 2010 against Turkey in a friendly.[7]
