Jan Maraea Khan(born 25 April 1958 inRotorua, New Zealand) is an international lawn bowls competitor forNew Zealand.[1]

Personal life

Jan is ofPakistanidescent through her father, and ofYugoslavandMaoridescent through her mother.[2][3]Both she and her sisterMarina Khanare the daughters of lawn bowlerMillie Khan.

Bowls career

At the2002 Commonwealth Games,she won abronze medalin the women's fours event. At the2006 Commonwealth Gamesshe again won a bronze in the women's pairs event with her sisterMarina Khan.[4][5]

She has won five medals at theAsia Pacific Bowls Championships,of which three have been gold medals.[6]

Khan won the 2010 singles title and the 1997, 2000 & 2001 fours title at theNew Zealand National Bowls Championshipswhen bowling for the Beckenham Bowls Club.[7]
